London Marathon 2013

What an emotional day! Such an incredible experience. So many people lined the streets to support all those taking part. It started off with a 30sec silence in memory of those who lost their lives and were injured in Boston. I think everyone knew they were in for an emotional journey.

Having previously ran the Edinburgh marathon in 4hrs and 36mins, I knew it would be tough. But I beat my time and finished in an impressive 4hrs 12mins.

I want to say a massive thank you to all my friends and family who have been there and supported me over the last 6 months. Without you, I could not have got through it.

I'd also like to thank everyone who has donated. With a target of £2000 I thought I would find it hard to reach. Everyone dug deep and pulled together and contributed to my Virgin Money Giving page. Once I have collected up the offline sponsorship I will add it all on. My page will be live for a further two months. Feel free to have a look and a read through the reasons for choosing to run on behalf of the MS Society.

Once again, Thank you , Thank you, Thank you!!

London Marathon - Only 15 weeks to go!!

On April 21st 2013 I will be running in the London Marathon. An event I have wanted to do for quite some time.

I am running on behalf of the MS Society, A charity quite close to my heart. In April 2004 my Uncle Hywel died after suffering with MS for a number of years. Hywel was one of five siblings, of which 2 others, My Auntie and Uncle, also have MS. Around 100,000 people in the UK have MS. It affects two million more.

The MS Society offers hope for the future by investing millions in research, and help for today through information, support and campaigning.

They need all the help they can get, So please dig deep and give what you can. If everyone gave just a few pounds it will make a difference.

Wish me luck & Have a G&T ready for me at the finish line!!
